Teacher Under Pressure was founded by Wake County teacher Ryan Batts with a mission to serve both his family and his community. What started as a summer side hustle to bridge the financial gap left by school breaks quickly evolved into a full-fledged pressure washing business grounded in Ryan’s passion for helping others.
As a teacher, Ryan knows the importance of service, communication, and trust—qualities that now define everything we do at Teacher Under Pressure. From the first quote to the final rinse, we treat every customer like part of our extended family.
Our Story
Like many teachers, Ryan faced the reality of months without pay during the summer. Determined to provide for his family and still make an impact, he sought out a new way to serve—outside the classroom. After a conversation with a fellow educator-turned-entrepreneur, he dove headfirst into learning the craft of pressure washing.
From watching YouTube videos to joining pressure washing forums and reading every book he could find, Ryan began building his skills by cleaning friends’, neighbors’, and family members’ homes for free. That dedication paid off with his first official job—an experience he still remembers vividly.
